While browsing the rv.net truck camper forum I figured out that I ought to check and see if I could get my spare tire down with the camper installed on the truck. Nope! I found out that when the camper is installed on the truck the retractable stairs would interfere with rotating the jack handle to remove the spare tire. So I “stretched” the handle extension by cutting the extension in half and welding an 8” piece of black pipe between the two halves (3/4” black pipe was nearly perfect in sliding over the handle extension that came with my Ford). I also had to modify the handle extension carriers under the hood by removing the corners of the carriers. I also purchased a 6 ton hydraulic bottle jack so that I could safely lift both the truck and the camper.
